AUTOBIOGRAPHY

I'm a Mexican-American Artist | Film Director based in Los Angeles. I have been making art for as long as I can remember, and for the past ten years I have done so professionally.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts from UC San Diego, and a Master's degree in Film Directing from UCLA. Prior to my Bachelor’s degree, I studied Fine Art at De Anza College for three years. Collectively, I received almost six years of technical studio art training.
My visual arts work touches several subject matter, but I have a special interest in representational art: portraiture, landscape, wildlife, still life and social commentary art.
I work in many different mediums, including: Acrylic and Oil painting, Watercolor, Colored-pencil, Graphite, Charcoal, Pastels, Collage, Digital painting, and Sculpture. Most of my work is figurative and ranges in style. The styles I am most interested in are Hyperrealism, Modern Impressionism, and Pop Art inspired art.
